853906 LEGO – Greeting Card

The 853906 LEGO Greeting Card is one of the more unusually packaged sets that LEGO has produced recently!
It’s a cross between a card and a polybag-sized set that’s been designed to be given instead of a traditional card, or maybe for kids to give to attendees of their birthday party, perhaps with a thank you note written on it.
Outer wrapper is removed to reveal a very colourful box showing balloons and presents. It can be opened out and flattened to reveal more party-themed graphics.
The set’s 40 LEGO parts are inside a small polythene bag. Among them is one minifigure, which comes with two heads and two hairpieces, enabling the builder to mix-and-match.
Main build consists of a small plinth with a stud shooter mounted on top. The centres of the balloons can be pressed out of the backing card which turns them into shooting targets. A small present and rollerskates round out the set.
